I have some old android phones running cyanogenmod setup outside as wifi cameras using "ip webcam". When it gets below 20ish degrees F the phones power down. I thought it was a charging problem so I set an email battery alert for 90% but never got an email. One phone had an error message saying the temperature was too low and the phone shut down.
I assume it's using the battery temperature sensor to power down the phone once a certain temp is hit. Is it possible to override this sensor and set a temperature to prevent the phone from turning off? Maybe move the temperature to something lower or disable this all together?
