Android 7.1.2 "Priority only" makes Calls vibrate

I like sleeping. A lot. And I don' t get enough of it. Therefor I don't want to be woken up by notifications and led-blinking during the night

Enter "priority only". A wonderfull option where I can schedule my phone to not blink and notify me during sleeping hours. People I know may call me (they know when I sleep) in case of emergency. I soothing ringtone should wake me up.

BUT

I always put my phone on the wooden ledge next to my bed. No problem when the soothing ringtone is supposed to kick in, but when on 'vibrate' the whole bed makes a sound like someone drilling a hole in a concrete floor next door. Problem is, I can't seem to tell "priority only" to use a soft volume instead of vibrations for allowed calls.

Maybe I'm missing something here. That's why I'm asking you -the XDA people- to enlighten me.
