I have several mobile phones - my favourite is the Mijue M10 - MTK6592 octa-core running Android 4.2.2. A simple work horse that's fast with good reliable comms.
I'd like to try out some ROMs on this but I'm having real difficulty finding a recovery image. Ideally I'd like to use TWRP which I have on my Moto G4 - it's the best but CWM recovery would be perfectly acceptable.
Main question is if anyone could point me to a resource that has either of these recovery images.
I've found plenty but none that I KNOW will work.
I tried the PC based TWRP setup and it ran / installed perfectly and concluded with a 'success' message. I re-started the Mijue to go into recovery but, nothing - the phone black screened for a moment and then booted into normal operation.
Then, I tried the phone-based TWRP app but the MIjue M10 is not listed so the app cannot run.
I also tried using (Finless) ROM Flash Tool (V1.37) for flashing ANY (?) MTK powered device but it couldn't even recognise the USB connection.
After all this naffing around, the phone won't boot into recovery any more - just straight in normal operation. Factory mode is still accessible with ON/OFF and volume down but that has no relevant usable functions.
I did have a look at compiling a TWRP version for the Mijue but it scared the bejabbers out of me !!
Would greatly appreciate any help-
Thank you forum.
