[Q] Use android device as a Bluetooth controller.

I have been searching for around 3 months on and off for this with no luck so I figured I would ask.

I would like to use my android phone to make calls through a dumbphone through bluetooth. I would like to drop mine and my wife's data plans to save $720 per year. But since we have smart phones, Verizon will not let us keep using our smartphones with no data plan and only stick with wifi. We have wifi access almost everywhere we go(home, work, restaurants, church, etc.) and would be fine sticking with wifi for internet.

So here is what I am thinking. Get the smallest dumbphone with bluetooth I can find, use that for my verizon plan. Then use my Droid 2 to control that phone, i.e. send and recieve calls/texts.

Has anyone seen this done or do I need to start getting familiar with the android SDK start playing with the android bluetooth stack?
